This weeks lecture being geared towards the pitch side of things, and the techniques for presenting the pitch. The notes, and video, on blackboard are pretty useful. We’ve started thinking about the time frame for completing the pitch ideas, as well as the design document itself. The decision is to set the pitch after, or at least towards the end of the completion of the design document.
I’ve rearranged the design document so that it’s easier to read and edit it. I’ve also added more content to the document in various sections. The document has a contents page as a base of what we need to include in it, so that we can work from there. We have decided on a rough final template for the design document so that it has more imagery to convey the concepts of the game. However no-one in the group is particularly proficient at drawing the artwork, so that aspect of the design will be harder, and we’ve recognised this. It may come to it that the artwork may not be drawn to the specifications we would like, but will still portray the concepts.
